It's time to forget cars, for the sake of us all. In cities we can use bikes. For bigger travelling, there's trains and planes. Cars are getting us buried in debt.

I don't own a car, and as a person who never rides in one, I have to agree that people use their cars too much when they could use a bicycle or walk.
But I also think that if you have the chance to get a hybrid car, that you should look into getting one. It's just not realistic to hope that everyone will get rid of their cars and go on other forms of transportation.
I have read that in China, where millions of people ride their bikes everyday, that more people are getting cars there and that it is forecasted that before 2010 people in China will no longer be riding bicycles and most will be in cars.
That nation is already plagued with pollution, and if they all start to forgo bicycles then the pollution is going to get a lot worse all over.
I wish that there was some way to get all people to use bicycles and to continue to use them if they already do.

I think using bicycle as mode of transportation is one way of helping and saving environment. Oil price is getting higher and higher nowadays. If you are only travelling in near places, why not forget cars and use bicycle?
